Women's Health is my favorite magazine, so I was excited to see it as a lightening deal!
Problem receiving refund
Review by not happy, 2010-09-02
I have cancelled this magazine after receiving the first and only issue I cared to view. For me, most of it was trash. After emails and calls, I finally received a refund of $9.10 after which I paid $14 initially to start
the subscription. For one issue, almost $5 doesn't seem to compute for canceling this as soon as the first issue arrived.

As others have stated before, they send you back issues for the first three months, that you probably have already read. The magazines are ultra thin and chock full of eating and exercise tips that border on a obsession with being thin. Sex,clothes, and other activities are thrown in as a afterthought. Ugh... left a bad taste in my mouth and I canceled my subscription!
They sent me OLD editions!
Review by Evelyn Molina, 2010-08-09
I signed up for a subscription in July, when the June, July, AND August editions of Women's Health had already hit newsstands, so I am very frustrated and dissapointed that they sent me not one, but TWO magazines that had been on newsstands for over a month. This means that instead of getting all 12 magazines, I'll be receiving 10 of them; the first two I had already read a month ago. Beware when subscribing!!
better than the typical chick mag

I tend to read magazines to help pass my time on the treadmill (esp. with an injury slowing me down so I can't run). This is probably the only one I'd read off the treadmill as well. I like that the focus tends to be more on health and wellness than fashion tips and stories about "catching and keeping" a guy.
I have subscribed since the magazine started. In the early days, I'd have gone with 5 stars but I do feel it has strayed a bit over the years and become a bit more like "cousins" like Self and Glamour. Still, it's my favorite of the genre and I like that it speaks to women from a more intelligent and respectful place than other women's magazines.
